EK Hakata v.2.0

The hakata is a combination of ideals encompassed by santoku, bunka and kiritsuke knives. Think of it as a general purpose knife that has a somewhat more aggressive front end, a stiff spine above the choil and a little bit of a belly for those who enjoy a fluid, rocking motion. 158mm edge length with a 1084 high carbon core, nickel and wrought iron cladding from a 19th century ship anchor link(!), the slightly tapered octagonal wa handle is made of dyed maple burl and a cascading warm-toned G-10 inlay. Handcrafted in Richmond, VA.
