Horn & Heel
H&H Funayuki II
$600
Historically the funayuki originates as a fisherman's knife for use while aboard the boat to not only break down fish into storage once caught, but also to aid in meal prep for the crew while out to sea. And that's exactly what's represented here, with a bit of a longer edge coming in at 216mm for extra versatility for us land lubbers; there's no reason to stick solely to tradition here, consider this an exemplary all-rounder and extraordinarily capable in a myriad of applications. 52100 high carbon steel, fit up with a shield shaped wa handle of Honduran rosewood, while the inlay is black-streaked white turquoise, anchored top and bottom with brass spacers. Yeah, it's classy AF and a workhorse to boot. Handcrafted in Nashville, TN.
