New Georgia Claywork

Covered Baking Dish: Brooklyn Red

$135
Designed and hand-built by Al Pellenberg as a solution to his husband's requests for a steady supply of country pate (I'm smiling too, it's cute). This vessel is a perfect size for about a pound of ground farce, or some delicious pomme Dauphinoise, etc., etc. Made from Brooklyn Red Stoneware mined in the clay pits on Long Island adjacent to the old Brooklyn Navy Yard, the clay from this area is still used in brick making for building in the NYC metro area. Gloss white glaze interior with a natural exterior adorned with abstract patterns. Handcrafted in Richmond, VA. Oven safe up to 500°F and suitable to use in a water bath baking method; food safe and dishwasher safe. Measures 9" x 4.5" x 3.25"
