JIA 'The Prep' Mortar & Pestle

Completely revolutionary in design and application, this mortar and pestle is anything but traditional. The heavy base, lined on the bottom with silicone, is made of Chinese porcelain that won't move around during use or scratch the work surface; features a shallow concave basin which is unglazed to assist in grinding and friction; and gloss white glazed exterior. The pestle is a round piece of solid oak that is used to rock back and forth over the intended matter within the concave mortar basin. It is best used with the unit placed perpendicular to the body, using a "push and pull" motion on the pestle. Hand wash only. Approximately 7"L x 4"H (mortar), ø3.5"
