Kamasada
Miya-san Cast Iron Pan
$125
Designed by Nobuho Miya, a 3rd generation master craftsman of Nambu Tekki style cast iron in his studio, Kamasada (founded near Morioka in the Meiji era). This understated, minimalist pan is a perfect size for one or two mid-sized proteins, or a single/ double serving of baked or braised dishes. It's median scale thickness enjoys all the heat retention of bulkier iron cookware without the weight. The handles on the side make for great maneuverability on the range and in n' out of the oven. Hand wash only, thoroughly dry and condition (season) regularly. ø7.5" x 2"H
