Takehisa Dried Donko Shiitake


For over 85 years, the family-owned company Takehisa has been cultivating small crop shiitakes. Prized for their largeness and deep earthiness (a result from slow growth during winter months), these mushrooms are dried slowly and naturally without machine assistance. Excellently suited for dashi and bases for other liquid-based preparations. Pro tip: don't discard after the cooking process, as they're insanely delicious rehydrated! 50g (about 12-15 mushrooms) packages.
